Demand of VFD is booming with market values 180 billion in China

Release time:2020-01-09

The growth rate of inverter installation capacity (power) in the Chinese market is actually around 20%, and the potential market space is about 180 billion yuan. Among them, low-voltage inverters account for about 60% of the market share, and the remaining 40% are occupied by medium and high-voltage inverters.

A few days ago, 18 new products of TBEA Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd. passed the national level appraisal. Among them, 3 of the new products that have passed the national appraisal have reached the international advanced level.

As domestic high-voltage inverter manufacturers pay attention to and increase R&D investment and break through the bottleneck of technological development, domestic brands are gradually replacing imported products.

   Domestic inverters gradually replace imported

These three products are: the world's first single-phase dual-post UHV shunt reactor BKD-240Mvar/1100kV with the highest voltage level and the largest capacity; among the products produced by domestic transformer manufacturers, the site with the largest capacity and the highest voltage level Assembled transformer OSFPS-JT-1000MVA/500kV; the world's largest combined generator transformer SSP-H-860MVA/500kV.

In fact, these three products of TBEA Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd. are just the epitome of the rise of domestic inverters in my country. As early as 2011, Hekang Inverter actively extended to upstream and downstream industries, participated in Guodian Nanzi New Energy, cooperated with Jinmei Group, acquired 70% equity of Beibian, newly established Beijing Hekang Yisheng Electric to occupy the market, optimize the supply chain structure, Reduce product costs. At the same time, expand the application base, establish rules, start standardized mold production methods to improve inventory efficiency, and use technology thresholds and scale thresholds to squeeze the market space of manufacturers without scale effects.

Entering the low-voltage field, the opportunity for Hekang inverter is greater than the risk. It is expected that in the next 3 years, the sales of Hekang inverter low-voltage and explosion-proof inverters will continue to grow rapidly.

And in April 2013, China Automation Industry Annual Conference held in April 2013, Senlan inverter once again won the first brand of China-made inverter. This is the seventh time Sunland has won the award. As one of the earliest domestic enterprises engaged in the research of frequency conversion technology, Sunland is constantly innovating and leading the market and industry development.

In 2012, Senlan launched the third-generation SBH series of high-voltage inverters, which made substantial breakthroughs in the domestic mid-to-high-end market and large-scale engineering projects, and gradually established and improved marketing service networks throughout the country and Asia, Europe and the Americas The rapid expansion of the international market.

According to a power plant denitration report from Supervisor Chen Qiuquan of Hekang Inverter Co., Ltd., in 2012, my country’s inverter market share, Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Dongfang Hitachi and other foreign brands still accounted for more than 2/3. No matter in terms of technology, processing, manufacturing, industrial design, etc., or in terms of financial strength, domestic inverter brands have a gap with foreign brands, especially compared with the two giants of Siemens and ABB.

At present, the share of foreign brands in the domestic medium and low voltage inverter market is basically the same as that in 2007, and it remains at about 76%. At the same time, due to China’s increased investment in basic projects in 2008 (traditional advantages of leading European and American brands) and other factors, the former The industry concentration of the top ten foreign-invested enterprises has increased, especially the share of industry-leading brands has further expanded.

As a main force and pioneer in energy saving and emission reduction, high-voltage inverters will have huge market demand in the future. The next 10 years will be a year in which challenges and opportunities coexist, and a breakthrough in the development of the Chinese inverter industry. The growth rate of inverter installation capacity (power) in the Chinese market is actually around 20%, and the potential market space is about 180 billion yuan. Among them, low-voltage inverters account for about 60% of the market share, and the remaining 40% are occupied by medium and high-voltage
